The Australasian Horror Writers Association (‘AHWA’) has today announced the end of their long running Sinister Reads project.
Sinister Reads has long been an opportunity for AHWA members, and friends of the association, to showcase their recently released (or soon to be released) work in order to provide a central platform to reach out to fans of horror and dark fiction both in Australia and New Zealand.
But all is not lost.
Fans, and writers a like will be boasted by the return of the half-yearly Midnight Echo Magazine (more details to come) with Sinister Reads immediately replaced with Disturbing Dispatches – a new monthly newsletter available for all members of the Australasian Horror Writers Association as well as fans of the genre across the world.
From Monday 1st May 2017 fans, writers and interested parties will have the opportunity to sign up for Disturbing Dispatches and sit back and wait for the news to be delivered straight to your inbox each and every month.
Dark Dispatches will bring you the latest releases from members and friends of the Australasian Horror Writers Association as well as all of the latest news from the association, the ability for all to take part in competitions to win some great prizes, as well as any upcoming events from either side of the ditch – providing a more complete program for the wider horror community.
“While it is sad to see the end of Sinister Reads, Dark Dispatches is aimed at making it easier for all of our members and supporters to know exactly what is going on involving our horror and dark fiction community.” AHWA President Brendon Meynell said when making the announcement this afternoon.
Dark Dispatches will begin taking subscriptions from Monday 1st May 2017 with an online form on the website and shared through the various social media accounts operated by the Australasian Horror Writers Association.
