Melbourne-based horror writer Brett McBean is the author of the novels The Last Motel (Biting Dog Publications 2005) and The Mother (Lothian Books 2006), and the novelette The Familiar Stranger (Necessary Evil Press 2006).
His stories have appeared in publications such as Dark Discoveries magazine; Asylum Vol. 3: The Quiet Ward anthology; The Rising: Necrophobia; In Delirium II anthology; and the upcoming In Laymon's Terms anthology. He has a short story collection due out early 2009 from Thunderstorm Books, Tales of Sin and Madness, as well as a novella in the Delirium Books anthology New Dark Voices II.
Brett also has a degree in music and has been playing the drums for almost twenty years.
