Matthew J Morrison
Matthew has been scribbling on and off since he was eleven. He slammed into middle age a few years ago, and decided he wanted a shot at immortality. To that end, he immersed himself in the art.
The hard work finally paid off, in 2011, with a consolation prize in the 2011 Nairda Lynne Award for a flash fiction piece entitled 'Old Man Red Gum'.
Last year, he received an honourable mention in the 2012 AHWA Flash Fiction Competition for 'Fragments of a Botanical Journal'.
Most recently, he has been working on a couple of short stories, with Kaaron Warren, as part of the AHWA Mentor Program. These offerings should see the light of day later this year.
