Mark Smith-Briggs is an award-winning writer of horror and dark fiction from Melbourne, Australia.
His horror fiction has appeared in more than a dozen publications in Australia, the US and Canada.
His short story Breakdown was voted Best Classic Horror in the 2006 Demonmind awards while his short film Snap won the international 15-15 Film Festival in 2009.
He is also an editor at Horrorscope and has been a judge of the 2007 and 2008 Australian Shadows Awards.
He was a judge in the 2009 Night of Horror's screenwriting competition and is a judge for the 2010 Aurealis Awards.
His non-fiction work has been shortlisted for a Best Fan Writer - Ditmar Award twice (2007 and 2009) and received the innaugural Chronos Awards in the same category.
Upcoming fiction is slated to appear in the Daily Flash: 365 Days of Flash Anthology, Cup of Joe Anthology, 100 Lightnings, Closet Monsters and Electicism #15.
